Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2025

These Terms of Service govern your use of CalGhost ("the Service"), provided by CalGhost ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using CalGhost, you agree to these terms.

What CalGhost does

CalGhost connects your personal Google Calendar to your work Google Calendar and creates anonymous "Busy" blocks on your work calendar to reflect your personal schedule. It does not share personal event details with your employer, coworkers, or anyone else.

Your account

To use CalGhost, you need a Google account. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for any activity that happens under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By using CalGhost, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree to use CalGhost only for its intended purpose: syncing your personal calendar to your work calendar. You agree not to:

Service availability

We work hard to keep CalGhost running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as-is." We don't make warranties — express or implied — about its reliability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

If CalGhost is unavailable, calendar sync will pause. Events won't be lost — syncing will resume when the Service is back online.

Google API usage

CalGhost uses the Google Calendar API. Your use of CalGhost is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. We operate within the permissions you grant us through Google's OAuth flow — you can revoke access at any time.

Your data

You own your data. We process your calendar data only to provide the sync service. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how we use it.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the dashboard or by emailing privacy@calghost.com.

Termination

You can stop using CalGhost and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or create security risks for other users.

If we terminate your account for policy violations, we'll try to notify you with a reason unless it's legally prohibited.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalGhost and its operators are not liable for:

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
